The Air Force Base Takoradi as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme to empower educational institutions in the community in which it forms part has made a cash donation to the Twin City Special School in Essipon, Takoradi.

The donation which was made on 25 July 2023 was to support the school in the construction of essential rain gutters for the dormitories and enhancing the learning environment to foster a bright future for the students.

Presenting the donation on behalf of the Base, Flight Lieutenant Nabila stated that the generous donation was part of the Air Force Base Takoradi's ongoing efforts to positively impact the local community and promote inclusive education.

The Headmistress, Mrs Crescentia Efua Bilson Sai, receiving the donation on behalf of the school, expressed her gratitude to the Base. She noted that the Air Force Base Takoradi's gesture will provide a much-needed boost to the Twin City Special School, enabling the institution to enhance its existing facilities and enriching the learning resources for the students.

Twin City Special School, known for its commitment to providing quality education to persons with disabilities and the mentally challenged is located in Sekondi-Takorad in the Western Region. The school founded in 1876 also provides support for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
