GHAF HOLDS RE-AFFIRMATION AND RANK WETTING CEREMONY

The Ghana Air Force has held a re-affirmation and rank wetting ceremony, which is one of the military's rich traditions for its newly-promoted officers at the Air Force Officers’ Mess in Accra.

The event took place on Friday, 18 July 2025 with senior officers solemnly reaffirming their oath to uphold the Constitution of Ghana, defend its territorial integrity, and serve with honour. This was followed by the symbolic wetting of the newly earned ranks of young officers by the Chief of Air Staff and senior officers; marking a transition in responsibility and dedication to growth.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, congratulated the officers and reminded them of the higher professionalism expected at their new ranks. He also encouraged them to actively engage in mess activities to foster camaraderie and wellness.

Group Captain Francisca La-Anyane, on behalf of all the recently promoted officers, expressed gratitude to the Chief of Air Staff and the Mess Committee for organising the event.
