As part of his visit to the 2 Garrison, the Director of Education, Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel (Col) Osman Shanun Zuneidu, paid a courtesy call on the Base Commander, Air Force Base Takoradi, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi on Monday 21 July 2025.

The visit marked Col Zuneidu’s formal introduction as the new Director of Education and provided an opportunity to strengthen ties with the Garrison.

During the visit, Col Zuneidu expressed appreciation for the Base’s continued support to schools within the Garrison and highlighted the need for ongoing collaboration in advancing quality education.

Air Commodore Yirenkyi congratulated him on his appointment and pledged his support to enhance educational standards across the Garrison.

As part of his itinerary, the Director, accompanied by the 2 Garrison Education Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Saviour Hadjah pand his staff toured schools withing the Garrison. He furthur commissioned some projects and engaged with instructors and members of the Ghana Armed Forces Teachers' Association.
