Nine personnel of the Ghana Air Force (GHAF) have distinguished themselves at the graduation ceremony of the Intermediate and Advanced Photography and Journalism Course 1/26, organised by the Ghana Armed Forces Public Relations Institute (GAFPRI) on Thursday, 24 September 2026, at Burma Camp.

The course was designed to equip participants with professional knowledge and practical skills in photography and journalism, while enhancing their capacity to meet the evolving demands of military photojournalism and public relations.

The nine GHAF personnel, drawn from Air Force Base Accra, Air Force Base Tamale and the Department of Public Relations, were among 37 personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces who successfully completed the course. The graduating class comprised 23 personnel from the Ghana Army, nine from the Ghana Air Force and five from the Ghana Navy.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Rear Admiral Maxwell Arhen, congratulated the graduands on successfully completing the course and encouraged them to make effective use of the knowledge and skills acquired.

He urged them to think outside the box, remain innovative and continuously improve their craft in the discharge of their professional responsibilities. Rear Admiral Arhen further charged the graduands to return to their respective units and apply their newly acquired skills to produce quality reportage while maintaining the high professional standards expected of military media practitioners.

GHAF personnel recorded notable achievements during the course, with Corporal Botsio Addae Collins of the Department of Public Relations emerging as the Best Graduate of the Advanced Class.

In the Intermediate Class, Flight Sergeant Opoku Solomon, also of the Department of Public Relations, placed first, while Corporal Kyereme Evans of Air Force Base Tamale placed second.

The achievements of the three personnel highlighted the strong performance of GHAF participants on the course and their commitment to enhancing professional standards in military photography and journalism.
