PERSONNEL FROM AIR FORCE BASE ACCRA SENSITIZED ON PREPARING FOR RETIREMENT

A team led by Colonel Joseph Kobla Buame from the Directorate of Resettlement and the Service Integrity Savings and Loan (SISL) Bank have sensitized personnel of the Air Force Base Accra on preparing for retirement. The forum also provided an opportunity for personnel to be updated on the performance and achievements of the Ghana Armed Forces Provident Fund.

 

 

Colonel Joseph Kobla Buame in a lecture emphasized the importance of early retirement planning to ensure a secured future for military personnel and their families. Col Buame also discussed various retirement options, investment opportunities, and the benefits of making informed financial decisions.

 

 

The informative session also included discussions on the provident fund, a scheme designed to assist military personnel in transitioning from active service to civilian life. The fund aims to provide financial stability and a safety net for military retirees, enabling them to retire comfortably.

 

 

Col Buame highlighted the advantages of the provident fund, such as long-term savings growth, eligible withdrawals, and investment options tailored to meet individual needs. He also emphasized the importance of understanding personal financial goals, risk tolerance, and retirement timelines, encouraging personnel to actively participate in their retirement planning.
