GHF SUPPORTS ST PAUL'S LUTHERAN SCHOOL CADET DRILL COMPETITION

As part of Corporate Social Responsibility in nurturing young talents, the Ghana Air Force (GHF) supported the St Paul's Lutheran School to organise a Cadet Drill Competition held on Friday 1 March 2024. 

 

 

The competition organised by the school to commemorate Ghana’s Independence was under the theme, "The Role of the Security Services in the Development of Ghana. Personnel from the GHF took students through basic drills and also lectured the students on the contribution of the Air Force towards the development of Ghana. This culminated in a basic drill competition as students dressed up in Ghana Air Force and other security services uniforms to showcase their admiration for the country's security forces.

 

 

In his speech, the Guest of Honour for the programme, the Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Mr Amin Alhassan stated that the Cadet Drill Competition would help to sharpen the intellect of the children and also keep them physically fit. This he noted would enhance their learning capabilities.

 

 

Speaking after the event, the Proprietor, Mr Kojo Brako expressed pride in the students' dedication and their commitment to honouring Ghana's Independence Day in such a meaningful manner. He emphasized the importance of instilling a sense of national pride and respect for the security services in the hearts of the younger generation.

 

 

 

 

As the activities came to a close, the students were applauded for their outstanding performances and for embodying the theme of the celebration with grace and enthusiasm.

 

 

 

 

GHF was commended for the support and presented with a citation while the instructors received awards for their role in shaping the students for the competition. The competition was well attended by parents, teachers, and representatives from the various security services among others.
