FRENCH AMBASSADOR COMMENDS 6 GARRISON LANGUAGE CENTRE

The French Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Mr Jules-Armand Aniambossu and his delegation visited the 6 Garrison French Language Centre located at the Air Force Base Tamale on Tuesday 20 February 2024.

 

 

On arrival, the Ambassador was welcomed by the Base Commander, Air Force Base Tamale, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai after which he inspected a quarter guard held in his honour. 

 

 

His Excellency Mr Jules-Armand Aniambossu in his remarks commended the centre for the hard work and remarkable exploits which has led to the centre being adjudged the Best French Language Centre in Ghana for 2019, 2020 and 2023 respectively.

 

 

Mr Aniambossu further expressed appreciation for the strong collaboration between the Ghana Armed Forces and the French Embassy, underscoring its contribution to fostering peace and unity between France and Ghana.

 

 

Addressing the significance of learning French for military operations, the Commander Air Force Training Command (AFTRAC), Air Commodore Mathias Awuah, highlighted the crucial role the centre plays in enhancing communication skills during peacekeeping and internal operations.

 

 

The 6 Garrison Education Officer, Captain Kuutolozie in his welcome address expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for the equipment and items donated to the centre.

 

Present at the event were the Deputy Director, Directorate of Education in charge of troops and dependents, Lt Col Akate, Commanding Officer School of Education, Military Academy and Training Schools, Lt Col Aseidu, 4 Garrison Education Officer, Lt Col Okorle and Officers from 6 Garrison.
