AFHQ PERSONNEL SENSITISED ON FUNERAL POLICY

In an effort to provide financial security and support to personnel, the Director Air Force Religious Affairs in conjunction with the Air Force Base Accra have organised a sensitisation session on a new funeral policy at the Air Force Headquarters on Thursday 30 May 2024.

The sensitisation lecture which was delivered by the Officer Commanding Personnel Services Squadron (OCPSS), Squadron Leader Ebenezer Fiifi Biney was aimed at educating personnel on a new funeral policy in partnership with Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana Limited.

The policy, tailored specifically for Air Force personnel, covers not only themselves but also extends to their parents, spouses and children. It involves a monthly deduction from the salary of each individual, ensuring that in unfortunate events, the burden of funeral expenses is alleviated.

The benefits not only cover the funeral expenses for the personnel and their immediate family members but also includes a health component, where a beneficiary would receive a significant amount of money to assist in medical bills and associated costs.

Squadron Leader Biney expressed his confidence in the value and benefits of the funeral policy, emphasising the importance of planning ahead and ensuring financial preparedness for unforeseen circumstances.

The partnership with Sanlam Life Insurance Ghana Limited further underlines the strategic approach taken by the Air Force to secure the future of personnel and their families.
