US DEFENCE ATTACHÉ VISITS AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS

The newly appointed United States (US) Defence Attaché to Ghana, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Zastoupil, paid a courtesy visit to the Air Force Headquarters on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. The visit afforded him the opportunity to formally introduce himself and reaffirm the longstanding cooperation between the United States and the Ghana Air Force.

Lieutenant Colonel Zastoupil was received by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, at the Air Force Headquarters. During the meeting, they discussed the longstanding partnership between Ghana and the United States and expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly professional military collaboration and capacity building.

Air Vice Marshal Agyen-Frempong welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Zastoupil to his new appointment and reaffirmed the Ghana Air Force’s commitment to maintaining and further strengthening the cordial relationship and defence cooperation between the two countries.

Also present at the meeting was the outgoing US Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Corbitt, who played an instrumental role in fostering and strengthening defence relations between the United States and Ghana during his tenure.

The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Ghana Air Force and the United States to sustaining their longstanding partnership and advancing mutually beneficial defence cooperation.
