SECURITY SERVICES DEMONSTRATE UNITY IN JOINT ROUTE MARCH AT TAMALE

6 Garrison, in collaboration with sister Security Services, has successfully conducted a joint route march codenamed EXERCISE FAST FOOT on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, in Tamale. The exercise brought together personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Customs Division, and the National Ambulance Service.

 

 

Commencing at the Jubilee Park and concluding at the Headquarters Northern Command, the march was designed to reinforce unity among the services, foster discipline and ensure troops remain in peak condition as the New Year approaches. Participants paraded through the principal streets of Tamale in a show of unity aimed at promoting inter-service cooperation, strengthening esprit de corps, and enhancing the physical fitness and operational readiness of personnel.

 

 

In his address, the Garrison Commander, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi emphasised the importance of the Route March, assuring the people of the Garrison that their peace and security remain paramount. He underscored that through unity, discipline and readiness the combined forces stand committed to safeguarding lives and property.

 

 

Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi expressed gratitude to troops of the Armed Forces and sister Security Services for their sacrifices, particularly during the festive season. He encouraged all personnel to celebrate responsibly, uphold the highest standards of discipline and carry forward the spirit of unity and goodwill into the New Year.
