The Commanding Officer of the Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC), Wing Commander Samuel Oteng Frimpong, has reminded retiring personnel of the Engineering Wing that although they are leaving active military service, they remain valued members of the Ghana Air Force family.

He made the remarks as the Guest of Honour at a send-off ceremony held at the John Odaate Barnor Hangar, Air Force Base Accra, to honour 15 Warrant Officers of Course 1/1996 who were retiring after completing 30 years of dedicated service in the Ghana Armed Forces.

Wing Commander Frimpong commended the retirees for their professionalism, commitment and selfless service, noting that they had made significant contributions to the growth and development of both the Ghana Air Force and the Engineering Wing. He encouraged them to continue serving as role models by sharing the wisdom, experience, discipline, resilience and professionalism they had acquired throughout their military careers.

He further stated that their three decades of faithful service, sacrifice, unwavering loyalty, and dedication to duty had distinguished them as exemplary servicemen, adding that the ceremony was organised to recognise and celebrate their invaluable contributions to the Ghana Armed Forces and the Engineering Wing.

The ceremony featured the presentation of citations to all 15 retirees in recognition of their loyal, dedicated and selfless service to the nation. The event also provided an opportunity for colleagues, family members, and well-wishers to celebrate the retirees' remarkable careers and wish them success in the next phase of their lives.
