RETIRED SENIOR AIR FORCE OFFICERS SUPPORT COMPILATION OF GHANA AIR FORCE HISTORY BOOK

Three retired Senior Officers of the Ghana Air Force have called on the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, to offer their expertise in compiling the Ghana Air Force history book.
The retired officers, Air Commodore Kwame Mamphey (Rtd), Wing Commander Andy Mensah (Rtd) and Wing Commander Daniel Ocabu-Kle (Rtd), made the proposal during their visit to the CAS at his office on Monday, 5 October 2026.

The initiative forms part of efforts by the retired officers to contribute their institutional knowledge, experiences and perspectives to documenting the history and development of the Ghana Air Force.
During the interaction, the retired officers shared their interest in supporting the documentation process, particularly by contributing historical accounts and experiences from their respective periods of service.
The CAS welcomed the initiative and commended the retired officers for their continued interest in the development and preservation of the Ghana Air Force's institutional heritage.

He noted that their dedicated service had contributed significantly to the growth of the Service and served as a trailblazer for subsequent generations of Air Force personnel.
Air Vice Marshal Agyen-Frempong assured the retired officers that their contributions would be duly noted and taken into consideration in the compilation of the history book.
He further expressed appreciation for their willingness to share their experiences and knowledge to ensure that important milestones and contributions to the development of the Ghana Air Force were properly documented for posterity.
