RCAFOA CELEBRATES END OF YEAR LUNCHEON

Members of the Retired Commissioned Air Force Officers Association (RCAFOA) have held their highly anticipated end of year luncheon at the Air Force Officer's Mess on Thursday 14 December 2023.

 

 

The event characterised with melodious tunes amid wining and dining was aimed at bringing together both serving and retired commissioned Air Force Officers together to mark the end of the year.

 

 

It also serves as an event to remind retired Officers of their invaluable contributions in safeguarding the peace of the country and their ongoing role of shaping the future of the Air Force even as retired Officers.

 

 

Delivering his address, the Guest of Honour and Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe acknowledged the sacrifices made by the retired Officers and thanked them for their service to the nation.

 

 

AVM Bekoe used the opportunity to highlight his vision and future projections for the Ghana Air Force and entreated all and sundry to support the course. As a goodwill gesture, the CAS supported RCAFOA with an amount of Fifty Thousand Cedis (GH¢50,000) to sustain and support their activities.

 

 

In his remarks, the President of the Retired Commissioned Air Force Officers Association, Wing Commander DK Gomez (Rtd) was delighted for the opportunity for members to make merry, share experiences and uphold the spirit of camaraderie.

 

 

Wing Commander DK Gomez (Rtd) advised both serving and retired Officers to go for regular check-ups and adhere to a healthy lifestyle. He however urged members to regularly visit the secretariat, attend meetings and pay dues promptly to ensure the smooth running of the affairs of the Association.

 

 

In attendance was the former Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Marshal Michael Samson Oje, former CAS, Air Vice Marshal Maxwell Mantsebi-Tei Mantse Nagai and a host of other retired Senior Air Force Officers.
