LIEUTENANT GENERAL OPPONG -PEPRAH VISITS AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS

As part of his itinerary, the newly appointed Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah paid his maiden visit to the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) on Thursday 15 February 2024.

 

 

On arrival, the CDS and his entourage were received by the Acting Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) and Commander Air Force Base Accra, Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong and Staff Officers at the AFHQ.

 

 

In his brief remarks, Lt Gen Oppong Peprah expressed his profound gratitude to the CAS, Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe, Officers, Airmen and Defence Civilian Staff for their unwavering support and commitment in executing their task of safeguarding Ghana’s territorial air space.

 

 

Additionally, the CDS urged personnel to maintain a high level of professionalism in the conduct of their duties.

 

 

On his part, Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong thanked the CDS for the visit and assured him that the Air Force would spare no effort in performing its role and support to the other arms of the Ghana Armed Forces.

 

 

Some Senior Officers who accompanied the CDS on the visit were, the new Chief of Staff (COS) Major General JP Osei-Owusu, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) Administration, Air Vice Marshal Appiah Agyekum, DCOS in charge of Policy and Plans, Major General DYA Nyarko, DCOS in charge of Logistics, Rear Admiral S Agyenim among others.
