GRADUATION CEREMONY HELD FOR BANDSMAN AND BANDMASTER COURSES
The Armed Forces Music School held a joint graduation ceremony for Bandsman Course 2 and Bandmaster Course 1 on Wednesday, 3 December 2025. The six-month intensive programme brought together 160 personnel from across the Ghana Armed Forces, including 18 from the Ghana Air Force, 77 from the Army, 6 from the Navy, and 4 allied students from Liberia.

The Bandsman Course was designed to equip trainees with comprehensive musical knowledge and proficiency in their respective instruments, while the Bandmaster Course focused on refining the expertise of experienced musicians and preparing them to administer, manage, and lead military bands within their services.

Delivering the keynote address, the Guest of Honour, Assistant Commandant of the Tri-Service Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Air Commodore Gervase Wienaa, congratulated the graduates on completing the programme. He praised their outstanding band display during the ceremony and encouraged them to continue refining their craft, particularly in technical exercises, scales, and vocal training, in order to become fully professional military musicians.

Air Commodore Wienaa also highlighted the introduction of modern music software and technology during the course, which has equipped students to compose music with greater ease and meet contemporary standards in military music performance. He urged the graduates to remain active in their bands and unit activities, especially during the upcoming festive season. He further commended the instructors for their dedication, commitment, and tireless effort in delivering a successful course.

Awards were presented to students who excelled in their respective courses.
