GHFAC WRAPS UP NORTH DAKOTA NCO TRAINING PROGRAMME

A week-long training programme dubbed ‘Non-Commissioned Officers Guest Lecture’ facilitated by the North Dakota National Guard has ended at the Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHFAC) on Friday 9 August 2024.

 

 


The NCO Guest Lecture which featured 29 participants drawn from the Ghana Armed Forces and North Dakota  was aimed at creating a knowledge Exchange opportunity through the North Dakota National Guard State Partnership programme. 

 

 

Over the period, participants were taken through NCO Development, NCO Female Engagement, Troop Leading Procedures, Critical Thinking Exercises and Best Counseling Practices. As part of the training programme, the North Dakota National Guard team created sessions where participants were engaged with mentors and coaches to prepare them adequately as Best Warrior Competitors.

 

 

The Guest of Honour, Director General Training at the General Headquarters, Brigadier General Winfried Dzandu-Hedidor commended the Instructors and organizers of the course for their tireless efforts in ensuring its success. “The partnership between Ghana and the USA continues to grow in areas such as training and capacity building. It is my fervent hope that both countries continue to engage in exchange programmes that will enhance the development of personnel and national development” he added. 

 

 

Brigadier General Dzandu-Hedidor further congratulated participants for their professionalism and adherence to instructions throughout the course period. He however urged them to exhibit excellence in line with the knowledge acquired so as to inspire young leaders. 
Participants were awarded with certificates of participation at the end of the event.
