GHFAC COMPLETES SECOND BATCH OF ATC COURSE

The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHFAC) has successfully completed the second batch of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) orientation course on Friday 2 August 2024.

During his address, the Guest of Honour, Wing Commander Eric Ofori Amo-Henaku commended the students for their hard work and dedication throughout the rigorous training programme. He emphasised the vital role that air traffic controllers play in ensuring the safety and efficiency of air travel, asserting that their skills are crucial not only for Ghana's aviation sector but also for maintaining the country’s security infrastructure.

He encouraged the students to use the knowledge and insight acquired during the course in the discharge of their duties and wished them well in their endeavours.

The completion of this course is part of a broader initiative by the Ghana Air Force to enhance the capabilities of its personnel and to meet the growing demands of the aviation industry. The ATC programme equips students with essential knowledge in aviation management, traffic control, and communication skills, preparing them for the challenges of the dynamic aviation environment.

Students expressed their gratitude for the opportunities provided by the College, acknowledging the expert instruction received from their trainers and the support from the institution.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduates, marking the beginning of a promising career in the aviation field.

Present at the ceremony were Group Captain Stephen Komla (Rtd), Senior Air Force Officers and representatives from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.
