GHF AND STANDARD CHARTERED BANK EMPOWER GIRLS ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

The Ghana Air Force as part of its Cooperate Social Responsibility partnered with the Standard Chartered Bank at this year’s International Day of the Girl Child. At a forum aimed at investing in the rights of the girl child, young girls between the ages of 14 and 18 years were inspired, energised and empowered to reach their maximum potential. 

 

 

A pilot with the Ghana Air Force, Squadron Leader Ama Serwah took center stage during the forum to educate the girls on the opportunities for women in the Ghana Air Force. she captivated the audience with stories of her personal journey, highlighting the importance of determination, perseverance and education in realizing one's dreams. she also explained how her progress has been shaped by the help of God, the Institution and supportive family and friends.

 

 

The event also featured interactive sessions where the girls had the opportunity to ask Squadron Leader Ama Serwah questions in order to gain insights into the aviation industry and seek advice on pursuing careers in traditionally male -dominated fields.

 

 

The partnership between the Ghana Air Force and Standard Chartered Bank has demonstrated the commitment to gender equality and promoting education among girls. Through initiatives like these, they aim to increase female representation in various professional sectors, fostering inclusivity and empowering young girls to overcome societal barriers.
