The Master Air Warrant Officer (MAWO) of the Ghana Air Force, Senior Warrant Officer Class I (SWO I) Edward Amponsem, has been promoted to the rank of Master Warrant Officer (MWO) during a brief ceremony held at the Air Force Headquarters on Monday, 6 July 2026.

In addition to the promotion of the MAWO, five Warrant Officers (WOs) from the Air Force Headquarters were elevated to the rank of Senior Warrant OfficerS Class II (SWO II) in recognition of their dedication, discipline, professionalism and years of meritorious service to the Ghana Air Force and the Ghana Armed Forces.

Congratulating the newly promoted personnel, the Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at the Air Force Headquarters, Air Commodore Sophia Adzo Jiagge, described their promotions as well deserved and a testament to their hard work, loyalty and commitment to duty.

Air Commodore Jiagge urged them to continue to uphold the core values of the Ghana Air Force, lead by example and serve as mentors to junior personnel as they take on greater responsibilities in their respective appointments.
