As part of its commitment to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of leaders, the Ghana Air Force continues to open its doors to young people, providing them with firsthand exposure to military professionalism, aviation and national service. In line with this commitment, Air Force Base Accra hosted students of Wa Senior High Technical School on Thursday, 2 July 2026, for an educational excursion.

Led by the Master In-Charge of Cadet (MIC), Mr Kanton Daniel, the students toured selected facilities within the Base, interacted with military personnel and gained valuable insight into the operations and strategic role of the Ghana Air Force in safeguarding the nation.

During the visit, the students were briefed on the mandate, organisational structure, and day-to-day activities of the Ghana Air Force. They also learned about the various aircraft operated by the Service and their roles in national security, aerial surveillance, humanitarian assistance and emergency response operations.

The excursion further introduced the students to the core values that underpin military service, including discipline, leadership, patriotism, integrity and selfless service, while offering them a unique perspective on career opportunities within the Ghana Armed Forces.

Expressing his appreciation, Mr Kanton Daniel thanked the leadership of Air Force Base Accra for the warm reception and the informative sessions. He noted that the visit had broadened the students' understanding of military life and inspired many of them to develop a greater appreciation for national service and leadership.

The visit forms part of the Ghana Air Force's continuous efforts to strengthen civil-military relations, promote youth development and inspire young Ghanaians to embrace discipline, excellence and patriotism as they contribute to national development.
