GHANA AIR FORCE COMMENCES THREE-DAY OFFICERS CONVENTION FOCUSING ON OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
The Ghana Air Force has officially commenced a three-day Officers Convention aimed at building resilient and capable officers poised for operational excellence. The event kicked off on Wednesday 8 April 2026 at the Air Force Base Accra where distinguished Officers gathered to share insights and strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of their personnel.

In his opening speech, the Base Commander, Air Force Base Accra, Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson highlighted the importance of building resilient and capable officers. He emphasised that in order to achieve operational excellence, officers must possess the necessary skills and be able to adapt to changing circumstances. He urged the officers to embrace continuous learning and professional development as essential elements in enhancing their operational capabilities.

The convention also featured a keynote address by the Guest of honour and the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, who commended the efforts of all personnel and highlighted the Air Force's commitment to ensuring that officers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their duties.

The CAS also stated that the convention is a deliberate effort to reconnect with tradition, reorient professional ethos and reinforce the standards that define officers of the Ghana Air Force.

The three-day programme will include series of discussions, and interactive sessions designed to foster skills development and team building among the officers. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with various experts and participate in exercises aimed at enhancing their operational readiness.

As the convention progresses, the Ghana Air Force reaffirms its commitment to excellence and efficiency in defending the nation's airspace and contributing to regional security initiatives.
