GHAFAC HOSTS CILT MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT SEMINAR
The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC), in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana, held a professional membership engagement seminar on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at the College Auditorium.

The seminar brought together former students, current trainees, and serving personnel, particularly from the Supply and Engineering trades. It also formed part of ongoing efforts to build professional capacity within the Service by creating pathways for personnel to acquire globally recognised logistics and transport qualifications.

During the session, the CILT team gave a detailed presentation highlighting the Institute’s role in advancing professional excellence in logistics and transport. Discussions centred on the various membership grades, professional progression routes, and the importance of certification in enhancing competence and career development in contemporary logistics and supply chain environments. An interactive question-and-answer session further allowed participants to seek clarification on membership processes, examinations, and continuing professional development requirements.

In his closing remarks, the Commander Air Force Logistics Command, Air Commodore Ben Offei, commended the sustained collaboration between CILT Ghana and the Ghana Air Force, noting that such partnerships are critical to maintaining a professional and forward-looking logistics system within the Service. He encouraged personnel to embrace lifelong learning and leverage opportunities that enhance individual and institutional readiness.

Other senior Ghana Air Force officials present included the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander SO Frimpong, the Logistics Readiness Officer (AFLOC), Wing Commander F Soyir and the Chief Instructor (Supply), Squadron Leader BK Osei.

The successful seminar further strengthens civil-military cooperation in capacity building and reaffirms the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing excellence in logistics education, practice, and leadership.
