The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC) has honoured four retiring instructors with a send-off ceremony in recognition of their dedicated service, commitment and invaluable contribution to military aviation training in Ghana.
The ceremony, held on Friday, 26 June 2026, at the GHAFAC Auditorium, celebrated four Warrant Officers of Course 1/1996 who were proceeding for retirement after completing 30 years of distinguished service in the Ghana Armed Forces.

Speaking under the theme, "Honouring Dedicated Service and Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence," the Commanding Officer of GHAFAC, Wing Commander Samuel Oteng Frimpong, commended the retiring instructors for their unwavering dedication, professionalism and selfless sacrifices in shaping generations of Ghana Air Force personnel.

He acknowledged the significant role they had played in strengthening the operational readiness and professional development of both technical and non-technical personnel, noting that their commitment to excellence had greatly enhanced the College's reputation as a centre for quality military aviation education and training.

Wing Commander Frimpong further emphasised that the instructors' contributions had left a lasting legacy, particularly in promoting academic excellence, military discipline and high standards of aviation training. He described them as exemplary mentors whose professionalism, integrity and commitment to duty would continue to inspire younger personnel.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for the College to express its appreciation for the instructors' three decades of loyal and dedicated service. Their remarkable careers were celebrated as a testament to the values of discipline, sacrifice, and excellence that define the Ghana Air Force.

The event concluded with the presentation of citations and gifts by GHAFAC and the Students' Representative Council (SRC) in honour of the retiring instructors, as they begin a new chapter of their lives after active military service.
