The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC) has commenced a six-week Quality Assurance and Safety Course on Monday, 31 August 2026. The course, which aims to enhance participants’ understanding of quality assurance, safety, and their application in military aviation, brought together 32 personnel, including 2 civilians.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Guest of Honour, Deputy Chief Staff Officer in charge of logistics at the Air Force Headquarters, Group Captain Ishmael Tettey Djagmah, said quality and safety were not simply technical requirements but important responsibilities that directly affected the Ghana Air Force’s ability to accomplish its mission.

He explained that maintaining high standards required more than following procedures. It called for professionalism, discipline, attention to detail and a strong personal commitment to doing things right.

According to him, the Ghana Air Force’s ability to execute its mandate effectively depended greatly on professionalism, precision, discipline, safety consciousness and a commitment to excellence.

He urged participants to take the course seriously, approach the training with an open mind, engage actively, share experiences, and apply the lessons learned to their daily duties.

Group Captain Djagmah further stressed that the true measure of the training would not be the successful completion of the course alone, but the positive changes participants would bring to their workplaces after the training.

He commended the course organisers and facilitators for their efforts and called on them to ensure that the training contributed meaningfully to improving the operational effectiveness of the Service
