GERMAN ARMED FORCES DELEGATION VISITS AFHQ TO STRENGTHEN TRAINING COLLABORATION

A delegation from the German Armed Forces has paid a courtesy visit to the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) on Thursday 2 July 2026, as part of efforts to enhance military cooperation and training between Ghana and Germany.

The delegation was led by the Branch Chief National Risk and Crisis Management of the Bundeswehr Joint Force Command, Colonel Torsten Walter and accompanied by the Military Attaché, Commander Grossman and Leader of German Training Missions, Major Kohut.
Speaking during the meeting, Colonel Walter stated that the visit was aimed at engaging with the Ghana Air Force on matters relating to the training and development of personnel.

According to him, the training activities are designed to enhance the effectiveness and operational efficiency of personnel.
The Acting Chief of the Air Staff, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the collaborative initiative. He noted that the programme presents an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the Ghana Air Force and the German Armed Forces.

Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi further highlighted several avenues for future collaboration aimed at improving interoperability and operational readiness.
