Gender Advisor at the Air Force Headquarters, Group Captain Francisca La-Anyane,  has concluded a series of presentations to gender focal point persons across Ghana Air Force Bases, ending at Air Force Base Accra on Tuesday, 15 July 2025.

The sessions aimed to promote inclusivity and operational effectiveness through gender-sensitive policies and practices. Group Captain La-Anyane emphasised that gender mainstreaming is an ongoing effort to integrate gender perspectives into planning, policymaking, and service delivery. She encouraged focal point persons to identify gaps, challenge stereotypes, and support equal opportunity initiatives.

She clarified that their role is advisory, not enforcement, and vital to advancing gender issues within their units.

Squadron Leader Ama Serwaa, focal person for Air Force Base Accra, thanked Group Captain La-Anyane and reaffirmed their collective commitment to gender mainstreaming across the Air Force.
