A festival of nine lessons and carols service was held at the Air Force Base (AFB) Takoradi on Wednesday 20 December 2023.

In her end-of-the-year message to personnel, the  Commander Flying Group, Group Captain (Gp Capt) Selase Yaya Agbenyefia acknowledged that the year was accompanied by bittersweet emotions. However, the unwavering dedication, resilience, and commitment of personnel to a shared mission enabled the Base to chalk several successes. She mentioned that the Base saw major infrastructural developments aimed at improving the operational capabilities and the well-being of personnel.

Gp Capt Agbenyefia however advised personnel to exercise caution and be security conscious during the Yuletide period. She also expressed her gratitude to God and all personnel for their dedication to duty and hard work within the period.

The Commander Flying Group commended the Air Force Base band and the Choir which was formed and inaugurated by the late Base Commander for delivering sweet renditions of Christmas carols.

In attendance were the Senior Air Traffic Controller, Group Captain Adongo, Officers Commanding the various Wings, Officers, Airmen and Defence Civilian Staff.
