CIMAF GHANA DONATES TO AIR FORCE BASE TAKORADI

CIMAF Ghana on Thursday 26 September 2024 donated 200 bags of cement to the Air Force Base, Takoradi.

In a short ceremony, the Base Commander, Air Force Base, Takoradi, Air Commodore Kwabena Kissiedu Manukre Atiemo said that  it was important for corporate organisations to support government in diverse ways to ensure the security services function effectively. He noted that some facilities at the Base and the Barracks needed renovation or maintenance, especially with accommodation occupied by Non-Commissioned Officers and the facility used as workshop by the Base Artisans.

Air Commodore Atiemo added that one of his priorities is to construct a secure walkway for school children who use unsafe routes to school at the Base. He assured the management of CIMAF Ghana that the cement donated would be used for its intended purpose and thanked them for the kind gesture. He also appealed to other corporate bodies to do same.

Delivering his speech, the Deputy General Manager of CIMAF Ghana, Mr Joseph Kobina Aboo said that the company had had a long business relationship with the Ghana Air Force which has seen both institutions collaborating in many ways. He added that, as a friend of the Base, he boarded domestic flights from the Base on weekly basis and had always identified things that could be done to support the Base as far as his company’s products were concerned.

He noted that businesses would be able to plan, forecast and enjoy windfalls when the security apparatus in the country are efficient. To this end, his outfit had made it a part of their plan to support the security services to deliver the mandate to the nation. Mr Aboo asked all personnel to patronise CIMAF cement, which he said, was the best in the market and also urged all corporate organisations to support the Ghana Air Force and other security services.
