CHINESE MILITARY DELEGATION VISITS AIR FORCE BASE TAKORADI

A Chinese military delegation has visited the Air Force Base Takoradi to inspect and ascertain the progress of ongoing Chinese Aid Projects at the Base on Thursday 20 June 2024.

 

 

In her welcome address, the Flying Group Commander,  Group Captain Selase Agbenyefia extended a warm welcome to the Chinese military delegation. She averred that the visit would strengthen the already mutual relationship between the two Forces. The Commander Flying Group assured the team of their readiness to provide the needed support to ensure the timely completion of the projects.

 

 

On his part, the leader of the delegation, Deputy Director Overseas Military Engineering, Senior Colonol Ning Xiaojuang expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his entourage. He stated that the collaboration between the Ghana Armed Forces and Chinese Military  would be further strengthened.

 

 

Senior Colonel Ning also commended the contractors for the extent of work done on site so far. The Defence Attaché of China to Ghana, Col Song, who was part of the delegation also indicated their preparedness to continue supporting the Ghana Air Force with training and capacity building opportunities.

 

 

Group Captain Agbenyefia by an act of appreciation presented a plaque to Senior Colonel Ning who also demonstrated a similar gesture in return.

 

 

 

The delegation was later given a guided tour of projects under construction which were, the 2 Medical Reception Station Annex and Air Force Recruit Training School Accommodation.
