The President and Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Saturday 16 December 2023 signed the book of condolence opened for the late Base Commander, Air Commodore Godfried Sackey Parker.

The C-in-C who was in the Western Region on an official assignment took the opportunity to pay homage to the late Commander.

Witnessing the signing was the Western Regional Minister, Hon Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe, the Acting Base Commander, Air Force Base Takoradi, Group Captain Selase Agbenyefia and other Senior Officers.

The late Base Commander sudden demise occurred on Sunday 26 November, 2023.
