Awards Centre, a subsidiary of Point 5 Ventures has donated sports items to the Ghana Air Force (GHF). The 4-member delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Paa Kwesi paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe on Monday 12 February 2024 at the Air Force Headquarters.  

Mr Paa Kwesi stated that the donation was a benevolent gesture by the company to support the activities of the various sports teams in the Ghana Air Force. He reiterated the commitment of the company to supporting sports development in the Ghana Armed Forces and thus called for the re-activation of the Security Services Sports Association (SESSA) Games.

A member of the delegation, Mr Prince Annan, added that the company had branded the sports items to give the teams a unique identity and make them stand out in their various disciplines. This he noted would encourage and spur the teams on to victory. He also expressed gratitude to the CAS for the cordiality and good working relationship over the period.

The CAS, Air Vice Marshal FAK Bekoe expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture which he noted would go a long way to motivate the sports teams to continue to excel in their various disciplines. He added that the donation was one of the gestures that would win the hearts and minds of the personnel and thus thanked them for the good initiative.

The delegation later presented the CAS a photo frame of a customised jersey and assorted sports clothing and equipment for the various sports teams.
