AIR FORCE OFFICERS MARK END-OF-YEAR CELEBRATION AT LABOMA BEACH

Officers from Air Force Base Accra and Air Force Headquarters on Friday, 26 December 2025, gathered at Laboma Beach in Accra for their annual end-of-year get-together, aimed at fostering camaraderie, relaxation, and family bonding.

 

 

The colourful event, which brought together officers and their families, was marked by a variety of fun games, delicious cuisine, lively music and energetic dance sessions. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of celebration as participants took time to unwind after a demanding year of service.

 

 

Adding to the excitement were several side attractions, including a 360-degree camera booth and a dedicated kids’ corner equipped with a bouncy castle and other amenities, which ensured that both adults and children enjoyed a memorable experience.

 

 

 

In his address, the Base Commander of Air Force Base Accra, Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson, noted that the annual gathering was designed to provide officers with a relaxed environment after a year of hard work and dedication. He encouraged officers to embrace the true essence of the celebration, which symbolised love, unity and care for one another.

 

 

Air Commodore Arneson expressed his appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, and other senior officers for honouring the occasion with their presence.

 

 

The highlight of the event was a symbolic rank wetting ceremony conducted by the CAS for newly promoted Wing Commanders of the Ghana Air Force, drawing cheers and applause from attendees.
