AIR FORCE NCDS STUDENTS RECEIVE BOOST IN THEIR TRAINING

Two Senior Air Force Officers currently on a course at the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) received a laptop each and a cash donation from the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe on Wednesday 10 January 2024.

Presenting the items on behalf of the CAS, the Chief Staff Officer, Air Force Headquarters, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi stated that, the gesture was aimed at inspiring and motivating the Officers on their educational journey.

The two Senior Officers, Group Captain Sophia Adzo Jiagge and Group Captain Nii Adjei Aryeetey are the pioneer Air Force Officers to attend the maiden NCDS course which commenced at the latter part of last year.

Air Commodore Yirenkyi noted that, with the complex landscape of modern defence, knowledge acquisition was paramount in shaping military Officers to be endowed with leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  He therefore urged them to put in their very best to resonate the purpose of establishing the NCDS which is to create an institution of higher learning to provide military training at the strategic level in line with the mandate of the Ghana Armed Forces.

At the receiving end, the Officers thanked the CAS for the donation and affirmed their commitment to making the most out of the opportunity given to them and bringing back invaluable insights to lead with excellence.
