AIR FORCE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY STUDENTS EXPLORE NAVAL OPERATIONS DURING EASTERN NAVAL COMMAND STUDY TOUR

Students of the Air Force Leadership Academy Course 1/2026 undertook a study tour of the Eastern Naval Command in Tema on Monday, 13 July 2026, as part of efforts to broaden their understanding of joint military operations and enhance inter-service cooperation.

 

 

The delegation was warmly received at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters, where they received comprehensive briefings on the Command's mission, organisational structure, operational responsibilities and recent initiatives.

 

 

The Commanding Officer of the Leadership Training School, Eastern Naval Command, Lieutenant Commander E.K. Adzakloe, delivered an insightful lecture supported by a detailed presentation on the Command's organisation, operational roles and support functions. He also highlighted the Ghana Navy's contribution to maritime security, logistics, sustainment and the protection of Ghana's maritime interests.

 

 

During the engagement, Lieutenant Commander Adzakloe underscored the importance of jointness, inter-service collaboration and shared situational awareness in addressing contemporary security challenges. He noted that greater familiarity among the Services enhances operational effectiveness and strengthens the collective ability of the Ghana Armed Forces to accomplish its mission.

 

 

The study tour concluded with an interactive session, during which the students engaged the resource personnel on leadership challenges, emerging security threats, operational activities and lessons learned from recent deployments. The visit provided participants with valuable insights into naval operations and reinforced the importance of joint military cooperation in safeguarding Ghana's national security.
