AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS RENOVATES WASHROOM FACILITIES AND DONATES POLY TANK AND WATER PUMP TO GAFCSC
Air Force Headquarters has renovated washroom facilities at the Air Faculty of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) and donated an 8,000-litre poly tank together with a water pump to enhance water storage and improve sanitation at the College. The items were officially presented on Friday, 27 February 2026 at the College’s premises.


The intervention forms part of ongoing efforts by Air Force Headquarters to strengthen institutional support systems and improve essential infrastructure within training establishments. The renovation of the washroom facilities is expected to significantly enhance hygiene standards, improve accessibility, and provide a more conducive environment for academic and professional development.

Speaking at the presentation, the Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at Air Force Headquarters, Air Commodore Mathias Awuah, underscored the importance of maintaining functional facilities within training institutions, noting that personnel welfare and learning conditions remain central to operational excellence.

The Assistant Commandant (Senior Division), Brigadier General Kwao-Dortey, expressed sincere appreciation to the CSO and Air Force Headquarters for the timely intervention. He emphasised that the support would greatly benefit students and staff, and contribute to the effective functioning of the Air Faculty.

The presentation was witnessed by the Chief Instructor of the Air Faculty, Group Captain Kwame Alifo and the Commanding Officer of GAFCSC, Lieutenant Colonel Ivy Puplampu.
