The Air Force Base Accra has extended a hand of generosity to the Eye of the Lord Children’s Home at Nsawam Adoagyiri on Tuesday 28 April 2026.

The donation is in line with the Base’s community outreach initiatives spearheaded by its Chaplaincy Unit.

A delegation led by the Flying Group Commander, Group Captain David Nkansah, presented assorted items including beverages, clothing, cooking items, milk, water and toiletries to the Home.

Presenting the items on behalf of the Base, Group Captain Nkansah explained that the donation was one of several activities lined up for the year to give back to society and support vulnerable groups.

He expressed gratitude to the Base Commander, Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson, as well as individuals and corporate bodies such as Promasidor Ghana Limited, Ghana Rubber and Colgate Ghana, for their contributions towards the initiative.

Members of the Air Force Base Accra Chaplaincy and Counselling Unit, including Imam Flight Lieutenant Moucharoudine Maiga, Chaplain Captain Emmanuel Oppong and Counsellor Mrs Harriet Boadu, noted that the initiative was intended to bring joy to the less privileged.

They further indicated that the outreach would not be a one-off event but would be replicated in other communities to positively impact more lives.

Receiving the items, the Head of the Home, Madam Mary Kwasibia, expressed appreciation to the Air Force personnel for the kind gesture.  She described the donation as timely and beneficial to the welfare of the children.

The Eye of the Lord Children’s Home has been in existence for 14 years and currently caters for 72 children.
