AIR COMMODORE ARNESON INDUCTED INTO OFFICE AS BASE COMMANDER, AIR FORCE BASE ACCRA

A religious induction parade was held on Thursday, 10 July 2025, at the Church of Pentecost, Burma Camp, to officially induct Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson into office as the Base Commander of Air Force Base (AFB) Accra.

 

 

The solemn event which was themed “The Lord Will Be With You” (Isaiah 41:10), was attended by senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, members of the clergy and well-wishers.

 

 

Delivering the sermon, the Director General Religious Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier General Benjamin Godson Kumi-Woode, encouraged the new commander to lead with faith, wisdom, and integrity. He urged Air Commodore Arneson to seek God’s guidance, act with compassion, and unite the personnel under his leadership whiles he also prayed for strength and divine direction for him to successfully carry out his duties with unity and purpose.

 

 

 

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, who was the Guest of Honour, congratulated Air Commodore Arneson on his appointment. He praised his years of dedicated service and described the new role as a major milestone in his career. He urged him to lead with confidence and professionalism, and called on all personnel at the base to support him.

 

 

 

In his remarks, Air Commodore Arneson thanked the Military High Command for the trust placed in him and pledged to work hard to uphold the image of the Ghana Air Force and the Ghana Armed Forces. He also promised to promote a spirit of teamwork, respect, and cooperation, and called on all service men and women to support his efforts.
