
AFHQ PARTNERS 37 MILITARY HOSPITAL TO PROMOTE BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
As part of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, a team from the Public Health Division, 37 Military Hospital, visited the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) on Thursday, 16 October 2025, to deliver a health talk and conduct breast screening for personnel.
The team, led by Public Health Nurse and Midwife, Madam Keziah Konlaa educated personnel on the importance of early detection and healthy living in preventing and saving lives from breast cancer. In her presentation, Madam Konlaa emphasised that regular screening, frequent exercise and a balanced lifestyle are essential in reducing the risk of breast cancer. She further stated that early detection and prompt medical attention are critical in minimising deaths caused by breast cancer.
The session concluded with a practical breast screening exercise for both male and female personnel, underscoring the Ghana Air Force’s commitment to promoting health consciousness, early diagnosis, and timely intervention in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
