The visit formed part of a series of welfare visits initiated by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, aimed at checking on the well-being of retired senior military personnel, recognising their invaluable contributions to the Service and reaffirming the enduring bond between past and present leadership.

Coincidentally, the visit also coincided with the birthday of AVM Appiah-Agyekum (Rtd), making the occasion even more special as the delegation celebrated not only his remarkable military career but also this significant milestone in his life.

The delegation, led by the Acting Deputy Chief Staff Officer (Logistics), Group Captain Djagmah, conveyed the warm regards of the Chief of the Air Staff and expressed appreciation for the retired Air Vice Marshal’s dedicated service, exemplary leadership and immense contributions to the Ghana Armed Forces. As a mark of appreciation and respect, the delegation presented gifts to AVM Appiah-Agyekum (Rtd), symbolising the gratitude of the Ghana Air Force for his years of selfless service and unwavering commitment to duty. The gathering was characterised by warmth, camaraderie and fond reminiscences as members of the delegation joined him in celebrating his birthday and reflecting on his enduring legacy of service to the nation.
