20 AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS GRADUATE FROM GHFAC

The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHFAC) has held a graduation ceremony for 20 personnel who took part in the Air Traffic Controller Orientation Course 01/24 on 24 May 2024 at the Air Force Base, Accra.

 

 

The 6 weeks course was organised to train and equip personnel within the operations branch in the Ghana Air Force with the necessary skills and knowledge in Air Traffic Operations.

 

 

In his remarks, the Guest of Honor and Acting Director Air Operations at the Joint Operation Department of the Ghana Armed Forces, Wing Commander Bernard Amemate congratulated the students for their hard work and sacrifices in ensuring the success of the course.

 

 

He declared that, the course served as a pivotal step in selecting and training personnel within the Operations Branch to enhance the Air Traffic Control operations which is critical to the safety and efficiency of the airspace. In addition, he outlined the role of the graduands to be very crucial when it comes to maintaining the seamless and safe management of the airspace ensuring that both civilian and military aircraft can operate without accident.

 

 

He encouraged the graduands to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the discharge of their duties when they return to their various units and be ever ready to contribute to the growth of the Ghana Air Force.

 

 

The graduands received their certificates, symbolizing their accomplishment and new found expertise.

 

 

The other guest who graced the occasion include, Group Captain Komla (Rtd), the Commanding Officer GHFAC, Wing Commander Patrick Necku, Deputy Air Secretary, Wing Commander Dorcas Badu- Yeboah and Deputy Director Training, Squadron Leader Micheal Agyenim Boateng.
