15TH EDITION OF EXERCISE TIGERS’ PATH CONCLUDES AT JWS
The Ghana Air Force put up a strong showing at the 15th edition of Exercise Tiger’s Path which ended on Thursday 27 November 2025 at the Jungle Warfare School (JWS) in Akyem Achiase.

At the end of the keenly contested competition, Central Command emerged overall winners, Support Services Command placed first runners-up while Southern Command finished as second runners-up. They were followed, in that order, by the Ghana Air Force, the Ghana Navy and Northern Command.

The four-day biennial exercise brought together personnel from across the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to assess their operational readiness in jungle warfare.
The exercise provided a rigorous platform for enhancing joint response capabilities within the jungle terrain and also designed to test troops skills in navigation, search and rescue, offensive tactical operations, obstacle crossing and first aid.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister for Defence, Honourable Ernest Brogya Genfi commended the Military High Command for restoring the exercise onto the GAF training calendar.

He applauded all participating teams for their discipline and outstanding performances. He noted that their efforts demonstrate the Armed Forces’ unwavering dedication to operational readiness, excellence and national security.

Honourable Genfi also used the occasion to highlight the grave impact of illegal mining on the country’s water bodies and forest reserves. He therefore urged the public to remain committed to combating environmental degradation and to safeguard country’s natural resources.

As part of the infrastructural development within the training facility, the Deputy Minister commissioned newly constructed roads and the Unit Square at the Jungle Warfare School.
